Senior Image Processing Engineer

Elucid is at the forefront of Quantitative Imaging, Tissue Characterization, and Atherosclerotic Plaque Analysis, and we’re expanding our Image Processing team! In this role, we’re looking for an industry-experienced engineer with a strong background in medical imaging beyond academia, who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Our Image Processing Engineers develop and test state-of-the-art tissue characterization algorithms from volumetric CT and MRI data. In addition, they will analyze data and develop methods using machine learning for feature extraction and classification. The Senior Image Processing Engineer will join the team with prior experience that will contribute to a multidisciplinary team including expertise in systems design, biology, software development and data science.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Required minimum of 2 - 5 years of related industry work experience.
- Strong experience in CT image processing in various areas, e.g. image segmentation and registration.
- Strong experience in C/C++ and Python is required.
- Prior experience with ITK, VTK, Qt, and Cmake is required.
- Experience with machine learning in industry setting is highly desired, Pytorch preferred. Experience with imaging systems, photodetectors is highly valued.
- Applicants should be well organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS in electrical engineering or related field is required, PhD is preferred.
- This is a role based out of our office in Boston, MA. Our team is hybrid and has a preference for local candidates or those located in eastern time zones in the continental U.S.
