As our Director of Finance, you will shape a finance function that underpins our day-to-day operations and fuels our commercial success. From accounting and financial planning to payroll and insurance policy management, you will step into a critical, multifaceted role at an exciting stage of scale, enabling our innovative product to reach patients around the world. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • Experience with startups or early stage, small organizations.
  • Experience with diverse accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and transactional management.
  • Experience managing and processing multi-state payroll, benefits reconciliation, and 401(k) plan administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, planning and analysis. Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret financial trends and performance and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end billing and collections with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in overseeing insurance and risk management strategies.
  • Experience in assisting with business funding decisions, including evaluating financing options, creating materials for a BoD or investor audience, and scenario modeling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and business and employer compliance requirements. 
Work Location:
  • This role is based out of our office in Boston, MA. We operate in a hybrid model, with regular in-office days Monday and Wednesday.

At Elucid, we believe the best work happens in a flexible hybrid environment. Boston-area employees are encouraged to work from the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the option to come in additional days if they prefer. Fully remote employees outside the Boston area come in as needed.
